“ I have been coming to Maya's for eight or maybe 9 years, and I should've done this long ago. My besties and I go here after a day of wine tasting in Sonoma. It's the perfect way to end the day of sipping. eat delicious flavors from the Yucatán, and over the years, I've pretty much tried everything. I have to say, you'll see a lot of pictures here. My favorite is the Maya spaghetti. It's spicy and delicious! The guacamole is excellent, and fresh chips too The service is fantastic, very rustic, absolutely charming, and clean. They have a full bar of all sorts of tequila from all over Mexico, and we've tried a few of those and had a wonderful time. Francisco is the owner. He runs it with his wife, and they couldn't be more wonderful and warm and always so accommodating. Sometimes it was just a few of us, and sometimes there were too many. Everyone had a delicious time! Don't forget to order some tequila cheers; I'll see you there soon! “ When in Sonoma.... Had a LONG day of volleyball and headed to the cute downtown. After being locked in a hot gym all day, nothing sounded better than an ice cold skinny margarita and chips. Maya fit the bill! Cute little Mexican place. Handcrafted cocktails at the bar and the chips and salsa were so good I ate the whole basket!!! Loved that green avocado salsa. The service was amazing!!! Very accommodating and when there was a mix up on the order, it was quickly resolved. We enjoyed the chicken tacos with rice and beans. The veggie quesadilla was huge and packed with onions, mushrooms, and peppers. The fish tacos were grilled and so flavorful with a delish slaw on top and just the right amount of sauce. The mixed grill was a HUGE plate of perfectly cooked steak, chicken, and shrimp. The seasoning on the meat was perfect. Served with fresh tortillas, rice, and beans! Great service, great drinks, great food! I would definitely go back! ”

“ Located right by Sonoma Plaza, the interior is spacious with plenty of seating. The noise level is average. Grande burro with chicken (4/5): the portion size is absolutely humongous. It's about 10 inches in length and 4 inches in width. The chicken was so tender which went well with the firm tomatoes. Service was good. Food came quickly. Overall Maya Restaurant is a great place for some delicious Mexican food. ”

“ My husband and I were visiting friends in Sonoma and they invited us to join them at Maya's. Our friends love this place and I definitely see why, the food, service, drinks, everything was great. They were quick to seat us, they were friendly and the dining area was nice. We were there doing the peak dinner hour and it was packed, however, they were quick. The dining area appeared small but I noticed they were able to accommodate a fairly large party. The restaurant has a casual and comfortable atmosphere.. The food tasted quite authentic. I decided to order the Panucho which consisted of a tortilla stuffed with black beans, your choice of steak, chicken, cochinitas or veggies, I decided on steak. It was topped with cabbage and it included guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. I highly recommend it. They made a really good tequila drink, definitely, enjoyed that!! My husband had the Grande Burro, it was a pretty good size burrito and he gave it a thumbs up. We plan to return on our next visit. ”

“ Maya never disappoints!! The staff are always friendly, the service is on point and the vibe in there is really great. They have a great bar you can sit at as well as indoor and outdoor seating. You must order a Bob's Margarita!! It's so delicious!! They also have a great happy hour I believe from 4-6 but might want to check exact hours. We were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered the mixed grill, the cochinita pibil, burrito, enchiladas, garden salad and nachos. Portion sizes are nice as well. If you have 6 or more in your party, they automatically apply a 18% service charge. We left additional tip as service was great! ”
